AFTER producing an impressive personal best and record run of 11.14 seconds in the preliminary round, Hydel High School’s Brianna Lyston failed to show up for the finals of the girls’ class one 100 metres at the Central Championships at GC Foster College.

With Lyston’s no show, it was a one-two finish for Edwin Allen High School’s Clayton sisters, as Tina turned the tables on the Carifta Trials under-20 champion Tia to win in a wind-aided 11.26 seconds (+2.1 metres per second). Tia took second in 11.37 seconds with Janela Spencer of Manchester High taking third in 11.79 seconds.

Edwin Allen’s Theiamalee Terrelonge and Hydel’s Alana Reid were impressive winners in classes three and two respectively.

Terrelonge, the Carifta Trials under-17 champion won in 11.88 seconds while Reid was first in 11.37. Ackeilah Whyte of St Catherine High School won the class four event in 12.14.
