PROVING that the collector cars market is booming is the enticing mix of vehicles coming up for auction with Manor Park Classics.
The specialist’s sale at its HQ in Cheshire on Saturday, March 12, includes everything from a 1931 Armstrong Siddeley saloon to a 2005 Alpina B5.
Other cars likely to attract a lot of interest include three 1950s MG drop-tops – a 1951 TD and two 1954 TFs – and one of the last Porsche “993” 911 models dating from 1996.
There are a few left-field surprises, too, including a vast 1967 Pontiac Catalina. The 6.2-litre V8-powered car is one of only 36 such models registered in the UK.
Among British icons up for grabs are a 1968 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Coupe, a 1961 Bentley S2 saloon and a more vintage 1930 MG M-Type.
A 1934 Morgan F4 three-wheeler restored by Car SOS in 2015 is also tempting, as is a 1965 Austin Seven Mini Countryman in Tartan Red and a 1958 Volvo PV544.
A 1973 Rover P6 and a 1976 Ford Cortina Mk3 that are in great condition are also up for grabs.
The wide range of vehicles also ensures the sale caters for buyers with all kinds of budgets. The Armstrong Siddeley, for example, has a top estimate of only £6000, while the Porsche could net £65,000.
