IF YOU want to buy the love of your life something really memorable this Christmas, there’s a great opportunity next Wednesday.
H&H Classics has a trio of head-turning British machines among its auction lots that would guarantee to make it a sparkling festive season for the recipients.
You can take your pick between a historic rally class-winning 1953 Aston Martin DB2 Vantage, a concours award-winning 1931 Rolls-Royce 20/25 Swept Tail Sports Saloon or a revolutionary 1970 Jensen FF II.
The Aston, finished in its original black paintwork and red leather upholstery, has undergone a £100,000 revamp in recent years.
A former class winner on the Three Castles and Scottish Malts events, it is potentially eligible for entry into the Mille Miglia in Italy and is set to fetch up to £180,000.
The Rolls-Royce is believed to feature a unique design by renowned coachbuilder Barker and was painstakingly restored over two and a half years just over a decade ago.
Known as Arabella and still sporting its original and distinctive green and cream colours, it is estimated to sell for up to £100,000.
Meanwhile, the rare Jensen is one for the petrolhead/restoration enthusiasts that is likely to go under the hammer for about £30,000.
