Double Olympic sprint champion, Elaine Thompson-Herah, suffered a rare defeat today in Torun, Poland finishing second in the Women’s 60 metres in a season best 7.04 seconds.

Competing at the Orlen Copernicus Cup, the sixth and penultimate meet of the World Indoor Tour Gold series, Thompson Herah, failed to peg back home girl and world leader, Ewa Swoboda, who got a flying start to win in 7.03 seconds and remain unbeaten in the event this season.

Roneisha McGregor, the other Jamaican competing at the meet, finished third in her heat and seventh overall in the Women’s 400 metres in 53.06 seconds.
