Olympic 100m bronze medallist Shericka Jackson will renew her 200m rivalry with Namibia’s Olympic 200m silver medallist Christine Mboma when they meet at the Boris Hanžeković Memorial, a World Athletics Tour meet, in Zagreb, Croatia, today.

The last time both women met, Mboma won the Wanda Diamond League title for the 200m event in Zürich, Switzerland, on Thursday. Mboma clocked a World Under-20 record of 21.78 seconds, with Jackson close behind for second in a personal best of 21.81s.

Shashalee Forbes, another Jamaican, will also contest the event.

Sprint hurdlers Hansle Parchment, the Olympic Games 110m hurdles gold medallist, and Ronald Levy, the bronze medallist in Tokyo, will renew their rivalry with the in-form Devon Allen of the United States.

Allen, who was fourth in Tokyo, has beaten both Jamaicans since, and will be hoping for his third win in a row.

The other Jamaicans down to compete today are Janieve Russell in the women’s 400m hurdles, Shanieka Ricketts in the women’s triple jump, Shadae Lawrence in the women’s discus throw, Fedrick Dacres in the men’s discus throw, and Julian Forte in the men’s 100m sprint.

O’Dayne Richards was, however, in action yesterday, placing ninth in the men’s shot put event with a throw of 19.50m.
