Defending champions Cavalier registered win number five in this season’s Jamaica Premier League competition following 2-0 victory over Molynes United at Sabina Park on Monday.

Captain Kyle Ming in the 45th minute and Christopher Pearson (penalty) in the 89th minute were the scorers for Cavalier.

The victory has moved Cavalier to 15 points and fifth in the standings.

Rudolph Speid, sporting director of Cavalier, hailed the win.

“This an important victory for us and we are hoping to build on this for next week when we play against Mount Pleasant Academy,” said Speid.

The defeat was Molynes United’s seventh of the season in nine matches. They are in 11th place in the standings with four points.
